When I went for dissection today, I knew I had to be ready and armed with all the terms and parts of the upper limb, muscles right at my fingertips. Stayed up last night till 1.30 am revising on it .. Yeah.. watever fossa, humerus, clavicle ... weird names i tell u this science fellas giv to the parts of our body, some REALLY REALLY hard to remember ones. And went to the library after lunch today to have a final glance at it .. yup, i noe this is not a test, but i've felt so 'hilang' during the last whole week in class n i'm really freaked when Grace noes everything ..... :S so this time, i gotta make sure wich part am i actually cutting the old guy up.
As it turns out, this old guy, he might had a shock during his final moments cos d part we're dissecting were kinda, urm, blown out of proportion?? no.. not blown, maybe 'moved' out of proportion. its like he 'SCRUNCHED' up into an udang kering on his shoulder part, so yeah, he had really huge and thick muscles (trapezius) around that area. My group 12 only took out 2 dissection kits so we had to take turns slicing ? or butchering ? his skin, the superficial fascia and layer of dark and bright yellow fats. Sorry to say, being the selfish fart that i am, i occupied the scalpel and forceps for quite a whole big share of d time.. oh well, some were just too freaked to even hold the scalpel.. i saw one of my group members actually slicing the fats while her hands were shaking !! so of cos, i took d opportunity to just hold on to it.. AND OF COS, being the playful and random fart that i always am, i sliced his muscles off to reveal his scapula, touched his spine, massage it, stroked his hair, cut off his fats n measured with mine .. (omg, wat the hell was i thinking??) oh yeah, i tried to open his eyes too, just to catch a glimpse of wat colour it is .. but he was so frozen, his eyelids wouldnt barge ...
As happily and proud as i am gonna say this, my dissection demonstrator-moderator, DR MICHAEL is by far one of the BEST parts of dissection today... HAHAHAHAHA.!! HE IS SO DARN COOL & GOOD LOOKING !!! LOLx! I muz admit, that he stole the limelight more than the old guy lying on the operating table. He was wearing jeans n some polo tee and he was joking while teaching so it was really fun. i really like his selamba-ness. N he gave us some exam tips and all those. AND, he demonstrated on my back ... :S

Did I also mention that he's a SURGEON ?? whoa! He said he was on-call last nite so he's kinda sleepy at that time.
Seriously, i've been on the atha cliath land for 2 weeks, and i've never really seen a nice goodlooking subun proper kinda guy until, Dr Michael came along... n according to Amanda, he was wearing the Jean Paul Gaultier perfume .. switx!
I'm soooooooooooo looking forward for week 7 where its dissection again!! =D till then, i'm digging deep into Big Moores n McMinns for a brighter and clearer and better and crazier dissection class ~! =D
